How to Play Tournament Wahoo
Game Start
- Each player rolls one die. The highest roll goes first.
- Turns proceed clockwise.
Entering the Board
- To bring a marble out of your starting box, you must roll a 1 or a 6.
- Your marble enters the board on the colored starting spot closest to your home box.
- If your starting spot is occupied by one of your own marbles, you cannot bring out another until that spot is cleared.
Rolling a Six
- Any time you roll a 6, you move six spaces and roll again.
- The only exception: when you roll a 6 to bring a marble out of the starting box, you do not get an extra roll.
Movement Rules
- You may not jump over your own marbles.
- You must move around the board in the standard direction toward your “teepee” (your home stretch).
- If you land on an opponent’s marble, that marble is sent back to its home box.
Shortcut Rule
- If you land on a corner space, you may choose to take the center shortcut.
- To exit the center shortcut, you must roll a 1, which places you on the diagonal corner leading toward home.
Closing Out Your Teepee
- You must roll the exact number needed to move each marble into its final home slot.
- Example: If you are 3 spaces away, you may roll a 3, or roll a 2 and then a 1 on your next turn.
- You cannot enter if you roll a number higher than the remaining spaces.
Winning the Game
- The first player to move all marbles into their teepee—top to bottom—wins.
Players
- Tournament Wahoo can be played with 2 to 4 players, or 2 vs. 2 as a team game.
